This is an OPEN CALL for NOMINATIONS for the Editor-in-Chief (EiC) of the new IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems sponsored by the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society

The term will begin January 1, 2013 and end December 31, 2015. Self-nominations are acceptable and encouraged.

A period of six months prior to the beginning of the term will be provided to enable successful launching of the new journal. We expect that approximately 125 papers per year will be submitted to the new Transactions. The new EiC will report to the SMC Society Board of Governors and is expected to submit annual reports and attend BoG meetings.

Nominations should be sent to Ljiljana Trajkovic (ljilja@cs.sfu.ca) and should be received by March 1, 2012 in order to be considered. (Please submit one PDF file as email attachment.)

The nomination should include:

1. Name of the nominee;
   
2. Confirmation that the candidate accepts to be nominated for the EiC position;
   
3. Curriculum vitae of the nominee, including his/her track record with respect to IEEE publications and the Transactions on Human-Machine Systems publication in particular;
   
4. Position statement of the nominee indicating views on the future direction of the Transactions on Human-Machine Systems and plans for recruiting paper submissions.
