Renaming of the
IEEE Transactions on
Systems, Man, and Cybernetics
At the recommendation of the SMC Society Long-Range Planning and Finance Committee, the SMC Society Board of Governors
in November 2009 gave final approval for renaming the Society's Transactions as three stand-alone publications:
IEEE Transactions on Systems Science and Engineering
IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics
IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems
They will replace the current publications:
IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, Part A: Systems and Humans
IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, Part B: Cybernetics
IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, Part C: Applications & Reviews
The Committee was also charged with initiating all needed steps to have this action approved by the appropriate IEEE entities and properly implemented in 2012.
