Who we are

TC Chair

Osaka Sangyo University, Japan

Our goals

The goal of this technical committee is to provide a forum for exchanging ideas and information among researchers and engineers in the field of Systems Biology from engineering perspectives. This will be achieved, in particular, by organizing invited sessions, workshops, special issues, and other events. It is expected that this TC can thrust the development of Systems Biology and become a leading community for the advancement of theory and application in biological systems.

What we are doing

  • We are going to technically sponsor the 3rd International Symposium on Optimization and Systems Biology (OSB 2009), September 20-22, 2009, Zhangjiajie, China. http://www.aporc.org/OSB/2009/
  • We are going to organize a special session on "Systems Biology" in 2009 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, October 11-14, 2009, San Antonio, Texas, USA. http://www.smc2009.org/
  • We are going to co-organize an invited session on "Biomolecular Networks" for the joint 48th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control & 28th Chinese Control Conference, Shanghai, China. December 16-18, 2009. http://www.ieeecss.org/CAB/conferences/cdc2009/index.php

Why don't you join us?

Systems Biology is undoubtedly a new field of primary interest worldwide, and aims to understand and explain how living organisms achieve their complex biological functions through the quantitative analysis of networks of dynamically interacting biological components at systems level. Through this TC, we would like our members to get together, to know each other, to participate in interesting conferences and workshops to exchange ideas with scientists and engineers worldwide, and making friends from different regions of the world.
