Our goals

Our goal is to provide forums for exchanging ideas among Soft Computing researchers and engineers through scientific events, such as organizing special sessions at SMC annual conferences, organizing/supporting international conferences and workshops, our Google Site and Google Group, and editing special issues for SMC Society's publications.

What we are doing

  • We have organized special sessions (SS's) every year at the SMC annual conferences since SMC2001 and are one of the champion TC's that collected the most SS papers. Our TC was awarded by IEEE Most Active SMC Technical Committee Award in 2006 and 2009.
  • Our TC is one of the most active TC's in term of organizing/supporting international conferences where support means that our major TC members serve as the Chairs of Organizing Committees and invited speakers. We are organizing/organized a Cybernetics Summer School (CSS2013), and many conferences: SAMI2013, SACI2013, PAAMS2013, DCAI2013, INES2013, ISI2013, NaBIC2013, CASoN2013, IBICA2013, ICGEC2013, LINDI2013, INCoS2013, HAIS2013, CISIS2013, SOCO2013, ICEUTE2013, SISY2013, CINTI2013, HIS13, IAS2013, iFUZZY2013, NWeSP2013, ISDA2013, WICT2013, SoCPaR13, ICETET2013, AINA-2013, CEC2013, SSCI2013, CICN2013, 3PGCIC-2013, BWCCA-2013, and COGINFOCOM2013. See our current and past activities at our Google Site on IEEE SMCS TC on Soft Computing
  • We have a public forum, Google Site on IEEE SMCS TC on Soft Computing, for our TC members and provide members' research interests, related conference information, and Google Group for discussion among TC members.
  • • We edited a Special Issue on Soft Computing for the SMC Society eNewsletter, No. 29 (Dec., 2009) and an article on our TC at the eNewsletter, No. June 2013.

Why don't you join us?

We are the most active TC that provides opportunities for exchanging technical ideas to TC members as you see the above our activities. See our detail activities at Google Site on IEEE SMCS TC on Soft Computing, join our TC through "Join Us!" web page at this Google Site, and enjoy members' privileges of:
  • Posting your research keywords at our Google Site and find our TC members in the same research areas.
  • Advertising your conference information by posting it at our Google Site as well as finding conferences of your interest at the same site.
  • Discussing, exchanging research ideas, and possibly sharing research resources with our TC members at Bulletin Board System, Google Group, or contacting with certain TC members whom you find in the Members' Research Interests web page at our Google Site.
  • Interacting with experts in Soft Computing such as neural networks, fuzzy systems, evolutionary computation or other biologically inspired systems that are rapidly growing research fields.
  • Participating in interesting conferences and workshops.
  • Making friends from different regions of the world at our Google Site and organized conferences.
