State University of New York, USA
Our
goals
The TC on systems safety and security assurance would endeavour
to foster research, development, publication, training and
dissemination of the art and science of systemic safety
and security assurance comprising:
Systems Specification
& Characterisation
Requirements Specification,
Analysis and Target Setting
High Integrity
Systems Design
Qualitative and
Quantitative Systems Safety and Security Analysis
Systems Modeling
and Simulation
Probabilistic Safety
and Security Performance Forecasting
Systems Risk and
Reward Management focused on Safety & Security Performance
Demonstration of
Compliance against Standards and Legal Requirements
The Systems Safety and Security Assurance
discipline and the predominately analytical activities therein
have a significant synergy with the SMC Society's interests
and scope.
What
we are doing
Organized Principles of Systems Safety & Security
workshop in SMC Conference in Hawaii, Oct. 2005.
Held a Workshop at International Conference on Transportation
Safety & Security in Beijing, May 2007.
Planning Special/Invited Sessions at SMC-2007.
Planning a TC event during 2007-8.
Planning Special Issue for IEEE Trans. on SMC.
Why
don't you join us?
Safety and security are two key emergent properties of
systems which in the face of increasing complexities and
pace of change pose a significant challenge to assure. This
TC aims at providing a forum for exchange of ideas and dissemination
of best practice in this field. We welcome all Systems and
Cybernetics practitioners to join this TC and contribute
to these humane goals.
